Barbie Pink and Fashion Fixes.

If there's one look that I absolutely adore that is so chic and timeless: it's the Barbie pink lip. My two favorites right now, I have to put to on spotlight because they're so fun and currently have my eye.

Christian Dior's Addict Ultra Reflect lip gloss is amazing. It's nonsticky, true to color, and highly pigmented. It also feels moisturizing and does what it says: reflects. Imagine that. It's shiny and almost looks like a liquid glass on your lips. $25.50 at Sephora.

As hot pink as it looks, it's not. This NARS 'Baby Doll' lip laquer comes out to be more of a sheer cherry limeade color than anything else. At $24.00, you can use it by itself or under your favorite lip gloss.

Other favorites:
  • NARS lip gloss"Turkish Delight"
  • MAC lip stick - "Lustering"
  • Urban Decay lip stick - "Hotpants"

Next, we've all had them: the fashion emergencies. I really want to share my knowledge of the fixes and alternatives that should be added to your fashion medical bag.

  • Hollywood Fashion Tape - Though it's double sided sticky tape, adding these to the common nuisance of fashion woes will make a night go much smoother. Hollywood Fashion Tape can temporarily re-hem hemlines, hold an ever-falling dress/tank/bra strap, keeping blouses tailored at the button area, and preventing clothing from having wardrobe malfunctions! Yep, I said it..
  • Insolias - These babies are a rubber insole that, somehow take the weight from the balls of your weight when wearing heels, to your heels. Unfortunately, I don't wear heels very often with being in college and working at a retail store. However, the annual birthday girl high heel night is coming up. Review shall come around September 3, 2009.
  • Spanx - I swear by these. It's not exactly spandex, not exactly pantyhose. But it sucks in and smooths in every valley, peak, lump, and bump when you have a form-fitting garment to wear that, OF COURSE, looks only flattering on a flawless mannequin! From bras, to panties, to mid-thigh body suits, they have it all.
  • Gal Pal - These deodorant removing pads do the trick. Rub on the white streaks that have made it's way on your black sweater, and it should come out. If for some reason it doesn't, lightly put water on the second Gal Pal pad, wring out the excess, and WIKITAW! No more streaks. It's almost like magic.

Missing in Make-up.

I've definately been missing in action. School has had my "interest" for the past 3 months. And by interest, I mean, pass and let's get this over and done with. So, with that said, I'm still in good standing at my lovely school.

So being a Fashion Merchandising student, cosmetics and fragrance is also listed under the catergory of the merchandising. I have recently fell in love with (and indulged!) NARS and Chrisitian Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect lip gloss. I'm so in love with Sephora, it's ridiculous - I think I pay their light bills with how much money I spend there. Urban Decay, however, is another favorite of mine because their quality and pigmentation is so wonderfully done. They recently added over 30 products just in time for the fall! Exciting. I'll be back, Sephora. I promise.

Themed post later :]
